Industry Guidance – an opportunity to hear both Institute of Operational Risk (IOR) and ABI ORIC as they team up for a joint event on 5th Sept 2013 in Scotland

We are delighted to invite IOR members to join us in Edinburgh on 5th Sept 2013 at which IOR Scotland and ABI ORIC will be presenting an overview of their respective industry guidance papers.

Simon Ashby, Chair of the IOR will be presenting an overview of the Institute’s Sound Practice Guidance papers that have been published since 2009 together with an outline of new papers that are currently pending publication. These papers, written by operational risk practitioners for operational risk practitioners provide practical advice to support the implementation of various aspects of the operational risk framework.

ABI ORIC has recently launched its Creating Value from Risk Events best practice paper, wholly endorsed by the IOR and Caroline Coombe, Director of ABI ORIC will be presenting an overview of this paper at this event.

The format of the event will be an open discussion, providing an opportunity to raise comments and questions on both the SPG series and the ABI best practice paper.
