The Institute of Operational Risk England and Wales Chapter is delighted to invite you to an evening seminar “Examining Conduct Risk” on Wednesday, 4th September from 16:15 to 18:30, generously sponsored by Norton Rose Fulbright.
What is Conduct Risk? With no formal definition, are firms adopting different approaches to describing and managing Conduct Risk? More commonly known in Retail, what does Conduct mean for the Wholesale business? Insurance? Asset Management? Peter Snowdon, Partner, Norton Rose Fulbright, will provide an insightful view on the various aspects of Conduct Risk.
Peter Snowdon is a highly regarded practitioner on UK and European financial services regulatory matters with a focus towards retail financial services. Peter’s particular areas of expertise include EU regulatory law, principles based regulation, anti-money laundering, e-commerce, financial promotion, retail banking and consumer financial services regulation generally. Peter is the co-author of the Money Laundering chapter of the Oxford University Press publication Financial Services Law. He also sits on the legal and regulatory committee of the Association of Foreign Banks, and is a regular speaker on financial services regulatory issues. Prior to joining Norton Rose Peter worked in the European law team at the FSA.
The event is free to IOR members. There will be a £50 charge to non-members.
