Following on from our very successful event held in February, I am delighted to be able to invite you to the next event to be held by the Irish Chapter of the Institute of Operational Risk
This will take place on Thursday 21st April at 7.45am – 9.00am (Registration at 7.30) in GE Capital at 31 – 36 Golden Lane, Dublin 8. This event is focused on what operational risk managers see as topics of major interest as we manage operational risks within our institutions. These are as follows:
- Cybersecurity Preparedness Benchmarking Study – Tony Moroney – Managing Director at Berkley Research Group will present the findings of the global study undertaken by Berkeley Research Group in collaboration with the Institute of Operational Risk.
- Risk Culture – What is it and how it impacts on day to day management of operational risk – a presentation followed by a panel discussion.
- Regulatory Developments in Operational Risk – Brief introduction to the Basel Committee Consultation on the Standardised Measurement Approach by Ronan Scully.
You may recall at the last meeting we issued a topics survey and risk culture was one of the top items on the list of topics that people felt should be discussed at future meetings.
If you wish to attend, please reply to irish-chapter@ior-institute.org or complete the registration form on this page: https://www.ior-institute.org/ior-events/inaugural-irish-chapter-event-upstream-with-a-cascade
Again the event is open to anyone involved and/or interested in operational risk. We would encourage you and your colleagues to attend and find out more about the Institute of Operational Risk and the benefits of joining the Irish Chapter. We have detailed below some of the summary benefits. As we have limited space, we will have to allocate places at the event on the basis of who registered first, so don’t delay!
Full details on the benefits and cost of membership can be found at https://www.ior-institute.org/
When you arrive at GE capital please ask for Enda Collins at the desk, we very much look forward to seeing you and your colleagues on the morning of 21st April.
Kind Regards
Enda Twomey
